This design by Zoe Mellor is from Rowan magazine 33 summer 2003. It's knitted exactly to pattern in Rowan Cotton Glace from Up Country. I originally bought the glace in "Dijon" meaning to make a plain summer cardigan, but when Mag 33 came out I really loved this design. I picked out the toning colours with the help of Carol Meldrum in Glasgow's John Lewis store, and substituted them for the pattern colours.
I wear this a lot. If I were to knit it again though, I would darn in the ends afterward rather than knitting-in, as they really peep through. I think this is a feature of cotton yarns. Also, I think the collar could do with being a few rows wider, maybe I'll get around to this!
