I just gave up waiting to see if there were going to be any new colours in Wool Cotton this season. I want to make the patchwork baby blanket from Rowan Book 30 which is in seven colours of this lovely yarn. I pulled out nearly all the colours from the John Lewis display to get these six:
They could really do with a bit of yellow though - but there don't really seem to be any yellows in Wool Cotton at the moment. They used to do a great buttery yellow called Miami (932)- would anyone know where I could get some, in the UK? Or even Mellow Yellow (942)? I checked in Jaeger Extra Fine Merino and there don't seem to be any yellows in that either. Obviously not this year's colour! There are lots of yellows in Debbie Bliss but I don't really like those cashmere blends.
By the way I do like Rowan book 39. Not clear what I might knit but it's nice to see new designers and their individual styles.
