I don't have a knitting picture this week, although I've started a sock from the "knitting Vintage Socks" book which has that clever garter-stitch bit down the side of the heel. I've been doing some stash sorting as well as progressing on Stone Argyll - really must update the in-progress picture.
What's been keeping us busy? Well on New Year we had a visit to Cumbria (the Lake District) and picked up two new friends. Introducing - Charlie and Lottie, chocolate Burmese of impeccable pedigree:
It's actually extremely difficult to get a picture of them together (hence the funny faces), but I had to or you would not think there were really two different cats. As soon as you pick up the camera or walk into the room, they run up to see what you are doing. They are mother and daughter, a little younger than our previous cats, and rehomed due to the death of their previous owner. In the process I've learned a bit more about Burmese cats and something about my own family background too. Charlie is already learning to sit still on my lap while knitting WITHOUT biting either the yarn or the wire of the circular needle.
So all's right with the world at Blithe Dance and we can get on with the knitting now!
Oh all right, a couple more then:
